Fulton Hogan Construction
Renmark, SA

Osscon was engaged by Fulton Hogan Construction to deliver the structural concrete package as part of the Bookmark Creek Redevelopment Project in Renmark, South Australia — a key component of the Department for Environment and Water’s $37.6 million Sustainable Riverland Environments Program.

The project aimed to enhance local waterway infrastructure, restore natural flow regimes, and improve connectivity for native fish and other aquatic life. Osscon’s scope included detailed formwork, reinforcement, and concrete placement for a complex structure incorporating a fishway, canoe portage, and pedestrian bridge — critical elements supporting both ecological movement and recreational access along Bookmark Creek.

By quickly building strong relationships with Fulton Hogan and other project stakeholders, Osscon was able to coordinate effectively and deliver all works safely, to specification, and on schedule.

The completed structure enhances both environmental and community outcomes — improving habitat access for large-bodied native fish while providing new opportunities for kayakers and other recreational users. This project highlights Osscon’s capability in safely delivering high quality, technically challenging infrastructure in sensitive environmental settings.
